Sunday was marked by an interesting astronomical phenomenon: an annular (ring-shaped) solar eclipse, which occurs when Earth’s moon passes between our planet and the sun.
Folks located in some parts of the U.S., Canada, Asia and the Pacific were lucky enough to see the eclipse in full, and some captured the event on video.
Though the video we’ve found on YouTube is at times shaky, it does give a very clear and sharp view of the “ring of fire” – the sun partially eclipsed by the moon, resulting in a surreal visual effect.
Did you manage to see the eclipse or perhaps capture a cool photo or video?
